A.MEMBERSHIP
B. APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP
6. Application for membership shall be made in prescribed Application form
7. Application for memberships should be accompanied by following documents:
C. ACCEPTANCE OF APPLICATION
8.Upon the application (complete in all respects) being received by the Secretariat, the name of the prospective member will be circulated amongst the members seeking their ‘no objection’ within 2 weeks of circulation. If no response received then it will be deemed as acceptance. If any objection received, then the matter will be referred to a 3 member committee (Secretariat + 2 members, who are not the promoter or seconder for their recommendation)
9.Thereafter, Secretariat of MASSA shall communicate to the applicant regarding their acceptance as an Associate member, or otherwise.
10.In the event the application is rejected, then the application documents alongwith entrance fee to be returned to the applicant.
D. REPRESENTATION ON MASSA
11.Any representative/alternate representative notified under rule B 7(g) will cease to be such Representative or Alternate representative of the member company on his connection with the member company being severed, or the company ceasing to be a member of MASSA.
E. REPRESENTATION ON VARIOUS BODIES OF MASSA
12.MASSA has many committees on which members are invited to be part of depending on their expertise, experience and availability. Such nominations maybe invited from Members, including Associate
13. MASSA is invited to be part of external committees too- for eg various committees of DGS etc. Such nominations maybe invited from Members (including Associate Members) depending on their expertise, availability and experience.
F. MONTHLY SUBSCRIBTION
14. Each member and Associate member shall pay monthly administration fees of MASSA Secretariat as maybe prescribed by Board of Directors from time to time, within 10 days of raising monthly invoices by MASSA. Taxes as applicable, will be payable.
G. COMMITMENT TOWARDS TRAINING OF SEAGOING PERSONNEL
15. Each member and Associate member shall have a commitment towards training of their seagoing personnel and towards this end, make contribution to Maritime Training and Research Foundation set up by the Association, at the rates prescribed by the Board of Directors. Associate members who do not have a RPS licence are not required to contribute.
H. COMMITMENT TO ABIDE WITH NATIONAL AND LOCAL LAWS
16. Each member and Associate member shall abide by all Govt Rules, Regulations and Orders etc pertaining to employment of Indian Maritime Personnel or otherwise.
I. RESIGNATION FROM MEMBERSHIP
17. A MEMBER OR Associate member desiring to resign from membership of the Association, shall give three calendar months notice in writing to the Secretariat of the Association regarding his intention to do so.
J. REVOCATION
18.DISQUALIFICATION
A member or Associate member shall cease to be a member of MASSA:

20. Surrender of RPSL
